Wise List AI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the app.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
a) Information You Provide
•Shopping list items and quantities you enter manually or by voice.
•Photos you capture within the app for AI-powered item recognition.
•Contact form submissions (name, email, message) if you reach out to us.
•Preferences such as country, currency, and display settings.
b) Automatically Collected Information
•Device identifiers, operating system version, and app version for crash diagnostics.
•Anonymised usage analytics (screens visited, feature interactions) to improve the app.
•Advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID) used by Google AdMob to serve relevant ads to free-tier users.
•Purchase and subscription status managed by RevenueCat to unlock premium features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
•Provide, operate, and maintain the app and its features.
•Process voice recordings and photos through AI models to generate shopping list items. Audio and image data are sent to our secure server for processing and are not stored permanently.
•Analyse food items for nutritional health scores using AI.
•Display personalised or contextual advertisements via Google AdMob (free tier only).
•Manage in-app subscriptions and purchases via RevenueCat.
•Respond to your support enquiries and contact form submissions.
•Monitor and improve app performance and fix bugs.
•Comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Data Storage
Your shopping lists and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. We do not upload your personal shopping data to our servers unless you explicitly use a feature that requires server processing (such as voice transcription or AI item recognition).
Data transmitted to our servers for AI processing is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and is deleted after the response is returned to your device.
4. Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
•Google AdMob — Serves advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation. See Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
•RevenueCat — Manages in-app purchases and subscription status. RevenueCat may collect purchase history and device identifiers. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
•OpenAI / AI Services — Voice recordings and images are processed by AI services to identify shopping items and provide health scores. Data is processed in accordance with the applicable service’s data processing agreement and is not used to train models.
5. Advertising
Free-tier users may see advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads may be personalised based on your interests and device information. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through your device settings:
•iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off “Personalised Ads”.
•Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalisation”.
Upgrading to a Premium subscription removes all advertisements from the app.
6. Children’s Privacy
Wise List AI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at support@wiselist.app and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
•Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
•Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data. You can also delete all local data directly from Settings → Clear All Shopping Lists.
•Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
•Portability — Request a machine-readable copy of your data.
•Objection — Object to processing of your data for direct marketing or profiling.

8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
